Catalytic Combustors

Catalytic Combustors have been used in the USA since the early 1980s to reduce harmful emissions from wood burning stoves. The first installation of catalysts was not successful due to hastily designed appliances and little understanding of the requirements of the three T’s - Time, Temperature and Turbulance. The successful manufacturers understood this and today offer a range of catalytic stoves along side their non-catalytic products.

Our Standard Products

Our Catalytic Combusters are custom designed around your stove to ensure it fits perfectly!

Wood Burning Stove

The dual benefits of a catalytic wood burning stove are the reduced emissions but also the increased efficiency created when burning of the pollutants.

Benefits of fitting a catalys

Fitting a Catalytic Combustor to your stove can reduce the amount of pollution equivalent to what’s produced by 5 diesel school buses. Catalytic stoves can save you up to 1/3 on wood costs, which is equivalent to £150 saving every year.

Custom Solutions

The design of each appliance is different and we aim to assist customers in understanding the different aspects of designing a catalyst to their appliance. Considerations of reduced flue draw, flame shielding and air turbulence are all parts of the design consideration.
